Ronita Mukherjee is currently doing her Ph.D. under the Academy of Conservation Science and Sustainability Studies at Ashoka trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE), Bangalore. Her broad research interests are in the field of plant–animal interaction. She is also interested in understanding the interplay of ecological and socio-economic dynamics in peri-urban areas to address the question of sustainable eco-friendly practices, a crucial node for effective conservation measures
