K. Santhosh is a senior researcher and a doctoral student affiliated with Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History. He is working on status, ecology and conservation aspects of lion-tailed macaques in the forests of Aghanashini Lion-tailed macaque Conservation Reserve in Central Western Ghats, Karnataka. He also works towards making strategies for the reduction of dependence of people on forests for subsistence and is devising a model for sustainable harvest of forest resources in the area.
