Vishnupriya

Vishnupriya obtained her Masters degree in Wildlife Biology and Conservation from the NCBS, WCS-India Program in 2012. She studied the impact of local fishing on fish assemblages in Pakke Tiger Reserve for her graduate dissertation. Subsequently, she has worked as a Research Associate with Centre for Wildlife Studies (WCS-India) for the past four years. During this period, she worked on a project to examine biodiversity in agro-forest landscapes of the Western Ghats. She has also been a teaching assistant at both undergraduate and graduate levels for courses in conservation ecology. Her interests are in freshwater ecology, and she wants to develop long-term conservation action for amphibians and fishes of India’s Western Ghats.
