Nisarg Prakash is an engineer turned wildlife biologist. He works with a small team whose primary interest is to conserve otters and their habitats. This could mean studying otters, or working with fishermen to understand the river better, and also their relationship with these animals. Nisarg and his team currently work across the entire stretch of the Kaveri, in Karnataka and much of this article is from what they have seen along the river.
