Madhura Niphadkar

Madhura Niphadkar is a geographer-turned-ecologist by virtue of her fascination for nature. She blends her training in mapping using satellite data and GIS software, with her passion for wildlife and plants, in devising approaches to help nature conservation.  She has a PhD in ecology, where she studied methods of mapping of the invasive plant, Lantana camara, through satellite data, based in BRT Tiger Reserve. She is currently working on mapping another invasive plant, Prosopis juliflora, in the Banni grasslands in Kutch, Gujarat.
