27th January evening sightings in kabini: Mammals: 4 Leopards at different places ( mother and 2 cubs were drinking water in the back waters of kabini and another leopard was walked across the road). Tigress was drinking water in the pond, it saw the vehicle and went into the bushes. After few minutes same tigress came out from the bushes with spotted deer kill. Pack of 6 wild dogs were killing spotted deer. Jackal walking on the road. Apart from that ephants, gaur, sambar,stripe necked mongoose and Malabar giant squirrel. Birds: Grey headed fish eagle, streak throated woodpecker, green imperial pigeon, green bee eaters, white bellied woodpecker, malabar parakeets, osprey, Malabar pied hornbills and chestnut headed bee eaters. Repiles: crocodile.
