1st February evening sightings in kabini: Mammals: Today I saw my life best sightings, spotted deer was giving birth to the young one. Tiger was drinking water in the pond, it saw the vehicle and disappeared into the bushes. 2 leopards ( one was sitting on a tree, yawning and stretching its body. And another one walked across the road). Jackal walking along the road. Apart from that ephants,gaur, sambar,stripe necked mongoose and Malabar giant squirrel. Birds: crested hawk eagle, streak throated woodpecker, green imperial pigeon, green bee eaters, white bellied woodpecker, malabar parakeets, osprey, Malabar pied hornbills chestnut headed bee eaters, heart spotted woodpecker, tickles blue flycatcher and crested serpent eagle. Repiles: crocodiles.
