Jala Vijaya focuses on a group of volunteers in Sirsi, who are working relentlessly to revive water sources, mainly the lakes and ponds in and around the town. The short film follows the story of this group called Jeevajala Kaaryapade, from its inception all the way till its ultimate vision.
Without waiting for any financial aid from the government, the group members are devoting their personal time to raise funds and meticulously plan projects, to bring back life to the forgotten lakes of Sirsi.
This film has been made without any funding or support from any institution or individual, and the sole purpose of the film is to inspire people to replicate what this group has done.
This film was screened at the Moving Waters Film Festival, 2018 in Bangalore.
