Sudeshna Chakraborty is a biotechnologist by training and began working on snails for her final year thesis. Since then, she has been looking at the molecular phylogeny of terrestrial snails. Her work has taken her to some amazing places across the Western Ghats and she plans to continue exploring this region in search of many more answers about snails, for her doctoral studies.
