10th January evening sightings in kabini: Mammals: Elephant was in a waterhole, sensing the presence of the tiger, it came out of water hole….then tiger came to water hole and was stalking elephant..seeing that elephant chased the tiger away. 2 leopards at different places ( one was walking on the road and another one walked across the road). Apart from that ephants, gaur, sambar,stripe necked mongoose and Malabar giant squirrel. Birds: brown shrike, velvet fronted nuthatch, crested hawk eagle, yellow wagtails, osprey, grey headed fish eagle , green imperial pigeon, green bee eaters, white bellied woodpecker, Malabar parakeets and paradise flycatcher. Reptiles: crocodile.
