17th February evening sightings in kabini: Mammals: 4 tigers ( mother and 2 cubs were sitting in the bushes near the dead gaur. Another tiger walked across the road. 4 leopards ( mother and 2 cubs were sitting on a tree at one place. Another Leopard was chased by the tiger and climbed tree. Apart from that elephants, gaur, sambar, wild boars, Malabar giant squirrels and stripe necked mongoose. Birds: Common hawk cuckoo, shikra, Grey headed fish eagle, grey wagtails, green bee eaters, Crested serpent eagle, forest wagtails, Malabar pied hornbills, rose ringed parakeets, green imperial pigeon, yellow footed green pigeon, white bellied woodpecker,osprey and crested hawk eagle. Reptiles: crocodiles.
